About me

After years of scrawling in notebooks, and peering suspiciously at social media, I’ve finally decided to come out of my shell and join the 21st century!

I love to write – I have been writing for years, and have never had the courage or the desire to send my works off to the literary world. I write for me, for the joy of writing, for the joy of creating. And I am sure there are many other people who feel the same.

So – whether you’re a writer or someone who loves reading poetry and strange ramblings – Β  I hope you enjoy my blog and the writing I will be sharing. Please feel free to comment, and to share your thoughts, feelings, and own experiences with writing, if you too, are a writer.

Blessings be πŸ™‚

  1. Hi Heidi!
I love your blog and your poetry is just beautiful! I would love to read “The Shaman’s Horse” at one of my groups. So firstly I would like to ask permission to do this and would love to give you proper credit if it is okay to do. What name do you write under?
    Warm Regards,
    Jo-Anne

    • Hello Jo-Anne,
thank you for taking the time to browse through. I have no problem at all with my work being shared, so please do so with my Blessing πŸ™‚ Just out of interest, what type of group is it?
And either just ‘heidi’ or ‘reiki heidi’ is fine. If anyone wants to look for further work from me, they can obviously find it under this blog, I also run another blog on WP called ‘The Eagle and the Serpent’. Depending on the nature of your group, I also have a Reiki website, reikiheidi.co.uk

      Many thanks & warm blessings,
      Heidi xx

        Hi Heidi,

Thank you very much. I am a psychotherapist and shamanic counsellor in Limerick and Clare, Ireland. And one of the groups I host is based on shamanic practices and healing. We have a shamanic journey circle coming up next week and would love to share it then. I will post a link to your blog on our meetup page.

        Thank you again.

        Drumbeats,
        Jo-Anne

    • My partner took it when he was somewhere in Scotland, possibly the Isle of Arran.
And thanks for the compliment – I shall pass it on to him πŸ™‚

  10. That was one of my first insights when I was just beginning my blog — this is JUST for me. If anyone else appreciates it, that’s a bonus. After six months, it’s still my JOY and the bonuses are rolling in. Keep Posting, Alia

  11. I only recently discovered writing can be so much fun. But I have come to enjoy reading as well, I think the two must be sisters; reading and writing.

    • Sisters, or maybe cousins: those who read aren’t always writers, but those who write are ALWAYS readers!
Writing has long been a passion of mine – but it’s only since the last part of last year I braved the world of blogging to share my creativity – and I am so glad I did! I have had an amazing journey, ‘met’ some wonderful people, and been even more inspired in my writing πŸ™‚
